Guest House Variance Request Tabled by Douglasville Council Amidst Neighborhood Concerns
The council discussed a request for a variance from section 3.03.b to allow an accessory structure (guest house) to be placed along the street frontage at 6304 Milrose Street. The application was from Epic Development, represented by Alex PPAM. Community Development Director Dana Gray provided an update, stating there were no new developments. Due to ongoing concerns and the need for further review, the council voted to table the item to the July 2nd and July 6th meetings.
Special Land Use Permit for Guest House Tabled, Conditions Added
The council considered a request for a Special Land Use Permit (SLUP) for an accessory guest house on a property zoned R2 at 6304 Miller Street. Mr. Gray provided an update, adding conditions to the permit: the guest house can be occupied by relatives, guests, caretakers, or employees working on the property without rent; a separate kitchen facility is allowed; and renting of the guest house is prohibited. Due to the previous tabling of a related variance request (item 26-188), the council decided to table this item as well to the July 2nd and July 6th meetings.
