BLDC Approves Procurement for Court Street Renovations and Budget Amendments

The Binghamton Local Development Corporation (BLDC) reviewed and approved two proposals for the renovation of 11-13 Court Street. The first proposal, from Natco for the electrical backbone scope, was initially high but was reduced through de-scoping efforts. The second proposal, from Suretemp for mechanical piping, was separated from a larger bid to obtain a better price. A separate resolution also approved a proposal from Roof Options for the installation of mechanical equipment, with the company being recommended due to their existing warranty on the roof and familiarity with the site. These procurements are part of ongoing efforts to manage project spending and meet fiscal deadlines. The board also discussed an error in the budget for Binghamton Help for the Homeless Inc., specifically concerning the net position at the beginning of the fiscal year, and approved the budget with amendments to correct this clerical error before the submission deadline.
