North Smithfield Council Sets 2026-2027 Tax Rates, Approves Option 1 Increase

The North Smithfield Town Council discussed and voted on the setting of tax rates for the 2026-2027 fiscal year. Three options were presented for increasing commercial and residential tax rates, with council members debating the impact of each option on homeowners and businesses.
