Napa City Council Approves Tentative Subdivision Map for 808 Capitola Drive Project

The City Council reviewed and approved a tentative subdivision map, design review permit, and use permit for a project at 808 Capitola Drive. This project will divide a 1.46-acre parcel into eight single-family lots and construct eight new single-family homes. It also includes associated site improvements, retaining walls over three feet in height, a shared access driveway, a parcel for a bioretention facility, and a use permit for two flag lots and small lot development standards. The project was determined to be exempt from CEQA under the Class 32 infill exemption. Public comment raised concerns about traffic, drainage, and construction impacts, while council members highlighted the architectural quality, infill nature, and importance of the Capitola Drive connection.
