Huntington Park Recognizes Students, Educators, and Celebrates LGBTQ Pride Month
The city recognized outstanding students, teachers, and retiring educators. This included acknowledging valedictorians and salutatorians from Linda Esperanza Marquez High School, as well as Educators of the Year for Linda Marques High School and Aspire Pacific Academy. Additionally, the city honored two retiring educators: Mary Mills from Gage Middle School for 37 years of service and Martha Gonzalez for 29 years of service in various roles within LA Unified School District, including as an SB65 coordinator and community schools coordinator. The ceremony also included a proclamation for LGBTQ Pride Month, recognizing parents for their unconditional love and acceptance of their LGBTQ children.
